National information campaign – Webinars

As part of the public and private partnership aimed at combating money laundering, terrorist financing, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (AML/CTFP) and the follow-up to the MONEYVAL report adopted on 8 December 2022 and published on 23 January 2023, the Prince’s Government is launching a national information campaign to improve and strengthen contacts with all stakeholders on all AML/CTFP issues.

Starting on 7 February, every Tuesday from 10 to 11 am, a webinar will be held during which topics related to this effort will be addressed by the relevant Monegasque authorities and international experts.

These seminars, the schedule for which is shown below, will be aimed in turn (every other week) at financial institutions and at designated non-financial businesses and professions (DNFBPs). They will usually be held in English.

The topic for the first seminar for financial institutions on 7 February at 10 am and for DNFBPs on 14 February at 10 am will be: The FATF Process and the Role of financial institutions/DNFBPs 

The Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr Castellini, will give a presentation on the information campaign at the start of the seminar. Various national authorities will be involved throughout the year to give an introduction to the topic being addressed before handing over to experts. Attached you will find the full programme for this information campaign.

We would like to emphasise how important it is for organisations subject to the relevant legislation to participate actively in these seminars. A certificate will be issued to organisations subject to the legislation that attend all 23 sessions planned between February and December 2023.
