This morning, the Minister of State opened a meeting to present the Cluster Yachting Monaco, which took place at the Yacht Club of Monaco in the presence of the Presidents of the French and Spanish Clusters.  In his speech, H.E. Mr. Serge Telle announced that "discussions are taking place on future developments for the Monaco Flag."

Four main topics were addressed at this yachting-themed day event:  the announcement of innovative projects initiated by Monegasque professionals;  discussions on a new strategy for canvassing potential clients and an overview of "Yachting Monaco" as a destination of the future.

The aim of this meeting was to gather all the Monegasque professionals together and promote the yachting industry, which is still relatively unknown in the Principality, despite a turnover of 700 million euros and the fact that it provides 1,435 jobs (source:  IMSEE).  This is a priority for Bernard d’Alessandri, President of the Cluster, according to whom "it is essential to showcase Monegasque yachting by giving it the visibility that this industry deserves."

This initiative, which forms part of the ongoing activities of the Strategic Council for Attractiveness, will give rise to the Cluster's meeting on "Yachting Monaco" in June.
