Sustainable development at the economy’s core

The commitment of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince to the sustainable development of the planet underpins His Government's action in related areas, may they be social, ecological or economic.

This specific action is applied within the Administration through the implementation of ambitious eco-responsible measures. Click here to find more

Whether in structural investments, urban development, mobility, the preservation of the natural heritage or the management of water, parks and gardens, energy and waste, each area of Government action meets this stipulation for the country's sustainable development.

The Principality's international cooperation and development aid has committed to adhere to the Millennium Development Goals. The action funded in many countries forms part of this undertaking.

Whilst the Prince's Government is particularly active on sustainable development matters, this work also extends to the mobilisation of associations and private stakeholders in the Monegasque community. Private initiatives, exhibitions, events and partnerships contribute to this great momentum. This is the case for organisations and entities, such as the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

To meet this ambitious goal, the Tourist and Convention Authority has, moreover, developed a unit dedicated to pinpointing any possible improvements in the area of business and leisure tourism and implementing such improvements in collaboration with all stakeholders involved in the Principality.
