Labour Law
Striving to improve working conditions while allowing businesses to develop
The Prince’s Government attaches great importance to the fact that the Principality offers all employees and businesses the optimum conditions to thrive within a framework of appropriate labour law.
The normative labour framework is part of the Government's mission. This normative framework includes the development of legislative texts that are presented to the National Council, monitoring the application of international conventions, and, more generally, all the texts relevant to labour and the protection of workers in the fields of security, hygiene and health.
Seeking dialogue within a spirit of consensus is a recognised dimension in Monaco. The Prince’s Government listens to each party in order to build a harmonious social dialogue which takes into account and understands the best interests of each individual.
In this context, the Government and the Department of Employment can be called upon to prevent, conciliate and arbitrate collective or individual labour disputes.
