Diplomacy – Accreditation of Ambassadors Israel - Germany

Monaco, Tuesday 1 December 2015 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation received H.E. Ms. Aliza Bin-Noun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel and H.E. Mr. Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, who presented their Letters of Credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during the morning.

H.E. Ms. Aliza Bin-Noun, who was an Advisor in the Arms Control Division and then in Political Affairs, held the post of Director of Department at the Coordination Bureau from 2001 to 2006.  She later became Head of the Bureau of International Affairs at the Centre for Political Research before being appointed Ambassador of Israel to Hungary.  In 2012, she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Head of the Political Bureau.

After a career at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union in Brussels, H.E. Mr. Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut was appointed Spokesperson of the European Convention in Brussels.  In 2011, he was promoted to Director-General of the Federal Chancellery.

An official lunch was held at the Hôtel Hermitage, presided over by Mr. Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
