On Tuesday 19 February 2013, H.E. the Minister of State visited the premises of M.C. Company, which specialises in the manufacture and sale of swimming costumes under the brand names "Banana Moon" and "Livia."

He was accompanied by Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy and Paul Masseron, Minister of Interior.

M.C. Company, which is headed by Daniel Flachaire, is a family business that employs around 100 workers (group).  It is based in Fontvieille, in industrial premises of 2,700 m².

All production is carried out in Monaco – from design, styling, creating the patterns for fabric and costumes, printing, cutting and sewing, to the industrialisation stage.

Today, M.C. Company has clients all over the world, comprising specialised independent distributors, franchises, and large chain stores, such as "Galerie Lafayette" and "Printemps" in France, "El Corte Ingles" in Spain and "Ludwig Beck" in Germany.

With this visit, the Ministry of State is continuing a series of meetings with the Principality's industrial players.  This programme of visits began several months ago as part of an initiative to develop existing sectors of activity and skills in the Monaco labour market, attract new investors to the Principality and encourage new business.
