Changes to the Express Bus Routes

© Government Communication Department / Manuel Vitali

The express bus routes and trial routes launched in April 2024 are under continuous evaluation to ensure that services meet the genuine needs of passengers.

The following changes will be implemented from 28 July 2025:

  • The X1 and X2 lines are being extended: the X1 line to the 'Rocher' stop and the X2 line to the 'Portier' stop. These extended services will make it easier to get from the Salines car park to two of the Principality's major hubs. Plus, the frequency is increasing from every 20 minutes to every 14 minutes.
  • The X4 line is being suspended due to low passenger numbers. Passengers should take the X3 line, which covers most of the route, except for the 'Saint-Roman' stop.

The express lines will serve the following stops:

  • X1: ‘Jardin Exotique’, ‘Belgique’, ‘Place d’Armes’ and now ‘Rocher’.
  • X2: ‘Jardin Exotique’, ‘Pont Sainte-Dévote’, ‘Monte-Carlo Tourisme’ and now ‘Portier’
  • X3: ‘Albert II’, ‘Port de Fontvieille’ or ‘Fontvieille – Shopping Centre’ (depending on the direction), ‘Place d’Armes’ (depending on the direction), ‘Princesse Antoinette’ or ‘Place Sainte-Dévote’ (depending on the direction), ‘Portier’ and ‘Larvotto’.

The attached map shows the routes of the various lines and the transfer points between them.

These changes will make the express network more efficient, providing smoother travel around the Principality. The Prince's Government remains open to feedback. Passengers can also contact the Monaco Bus Company via contact@cam.mc .
