The formal sitting to mark the start of the new session for the Principality’s courts and tribunals took place this Monday morning, 3 October 2016, at the Palais de Justice, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

The sitting was preceded by a celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit at Monaco Cathedral.

The traditional opening speech was given by Ms Cécile Chatel-Petit, Vice-President of the Court of Revision, who discussed “The Court of Revision and the uncertain future of judicial supreme courts.”

During the sitting, the appointments made to courts during the judicial year were highlighted (see attached list).

As is customary, figures and statistics illustrating the activity of the various courts over the past year were also presented.
