Monaco Red Cross launches crowdfunding project

As the year draws to a close, the Monaco Red Cross is launching its first crowdfunding project via the online Monaco Crowdfunding platform: a great idea for a charitable gift.

Since 2011, the Burkina Faso and Monaco Red Cross organisations have been jointly running a project to help child labourers and children at risk of early migration in Burkina Faso.

In keeping with this programme, the Monaco Red Cross is seeking to drill a well in order to provide access to drinking water and improve living standards for the 2,225 inhabitants of the village of Lemka by the end of 2019.

Anyone can contribute by visiting the Drinkable water for all project on the Monaco Crowdfunding platform. From a donation certificate signed by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, President of the Monaco Red Cross, to a breakfast with the entire project team, as well as souvenirs from Burkina Faso or a “drop”, the project symbol, in silver, gold or platinum, a variety of rewards are available depending on the level of contribution.

Donations will not only allow a well to be drilled, but will also help to introduce a complete, sustainable community water management system.

The project is of limited duration and is open to contributions until 9 January.
