The Principality of Monaco brings civil action in the Esplanade des Pêcheurs case

In June 2020, the State was ordered to pay 136 million euros, plus interest, to a developer in connection with a property and cultural development project on the Esplanade des Pêcheurs.

Recent publications on the internet and various press articles relating to judicial proceedings brought before the Principality's courts have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding this ruling, prompting the State to bring civil action in recently opened criminal proceedings.
