The Government has been informed of the death last night at Princess Grace Hospital of a person who had previously been admitted for a reason other than COVID-19 and was subsequently found to be positive for COVID when tested as part of the admission protocol.

This person, who was 91, succumbed to a pre-existing comorbidity.

The Government extends its thoughts to the family and assures them of its support at this time of sorrow.
