Measures to Prevent Domestic Violence during COVID-19

To address the issue of domestic violence during the lockdown period, the Women's Rights Committee has just published a factsheet on the aid and emergency measures that are available in the Principality during the COVID-19 crisis.

This factsheet is available on the website www.covid19.mc (question: what should I do if I don't feel safe at home?) and on the Committee's website, www.dfm.mc.

According to Céline Cottalorda, Country Women's Rights Officer, "To help victims of violence during the lockdown, we must take action by disseminating information on the existing measures as widely as possible."

State departments and the voluntary sector remain ready to assist women who are victims of violence during this crisis.

To this end, the following practical and useful information is available:

- For requests for help or information, contact 0 800 91 90 10. Call free 7 days a week or -send an e-mail to: avip@monaco.mc

- For emergency situations, call 17 or 93 15 30 15.

For further information on the steps to be taken and procedures to follow, see www.dfm.mc, under the heading "Take Action" and the social networks via #COVID19, #ViolencesFemmesJ’agis (#ViolenceAgainstWomenTakeAction) #DFM
