COVID-19: Two New Positive Cases and One Recovery on Monday 8 November

Two new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 8 November.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 3,439 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, eight people are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital: seven people, two of whom are residents, are provided in-patient care. Another patient, who is non-resident, is in intensive care.

There is one further recovery to be noted. The total number of people who have recovered is 3,370.

This Monday evening, 19 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to patients with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.

The Prince's Government is also communicating the figures relating to testing. These figures are as of yesterday, Sunday 7 November inclusive.

  • Number of tests carried out on resident and non-resident patients between 01/11 and 07/11 inclusive:  3,253 PCR and antigen tests.
  • Rate of positive tests carried out on residents and non-residents:  1.51%.
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of persons testing positive per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days:  54.76 (70.40 last week).
