New campaign launched to calculate 2022 GDP

As every year and with the help of citizens, IMSEE is set to carry out a statistical survey to calculate the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Principality of Monaco last year (2022).

This new campaign will begin on Friday 14 April 2023.

To facilitate declarations, we strongly recommend using the online service available on our website at imsee.mc .

GDP is an essential indicator for our country. We ask you to respond to this mandatory survey by the allotted deadline, as required by Act No. 419 of 7 June 1945 and Ministerial Decree No. 2013-155 of 19 April 2013. You have the right to access and rectify your personal data, and can exercise this right by contacting the Director of IMSEE, in accordance with the provisions of  Act No. 1,353 of 4 December 2008 amending Act No. 1,165 of 23 December 1993 on personal data protection.

All economic operators who receive the survey are asked to complete it as carefully as possible before 26 May 2023, regardless of the size of their organisation or the nature of their activity1, whether it is a trading or non-commercial operation, and even if they were only operating for part of 2022 (e.g. if they were created or stopped doing business during the year).

This statistical survey has no tax implications, and is conducted by qualified and legally authorised personnel from IMSEE itself.

You can also complete the paper questionnaire enclosed with the letter and return it by post in the envelope provided to Monaco Statistics / GDP Studies and Calculation.

If you have any questions, you can contact the officials responsible for GDP studies and calculations on the toll-free number 8000 2008, via the imsee.mc  website, or by calling (+377) 98 98 98 88.

1 Including those who lease out business or car parks, and natural and legal persons not liable for VAT (e.g. non-profit associations, foundations, certain self-employed individuals, etc.).
