With the support of the Embassy of Monaco in Russia, two Monegasque artists, Gérard Pettiti and Claude Rosticher, are working on the final details of a travelling exhibition that will make it possible to present an entire chapter of the Principality's artistic history in Moscow, Rostov-sur-le Don and Paris.

This exhibition will be an opportunity for Gérard Pettiti and Claude Rosticher, who share a deep, respectful friendship, to showcase their artistic worlds, and also to make reference to four great artists with close links to Monaco, who have been an deep source of inspiration for them - Léo Ferré, Armand Gatti, Luis Molné and Albert Diato.

"This exhibition is the story of a friendship between two artists who, a priori, are completely different, with regard to both their generation and their artistic approach.  […].  It will be an opportunity to pay tribute to some illustrious predecessors, for their humanity and their struggles," state Gérard Pettiti and Claude Rosticher in the catalogue of the exhibition.

The public will thus be able to see more than 130 works - paintings, documents, texts, audiovisual accounts, photos, etc., - which are valuable evidence of the Principality's cultural vitality.

"Monaco, Artists' Stories" will be on display at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art from 9 July to 11 August, at the Regional Museum of Fine Arts in Rostov from 23 August to 22 September and at the Russian Orthodox Cultural and Spiritual Centre in Paris from 11 October to 1 November 2019.
