Diplomatic relations established between Principality of Monaco and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Principality of Monaco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a joint communique establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries on 2 March 2023.

The communique was signed by H.E. Christophe Steiner, Monaco’s Ambassador to France, and H.E. Fahad Al Ruwaily, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to France.

These diplomatic relations contribute to “promoting mutual understanding and consolidating a friendly relationship”, an approach which is the foundation for Monaco’s policy in accordance with the principles and goals of the Charter of the United Nations and international law.

Saudi Arabia is the 157^th State to establish diplomatic relations with Monaco.
