COVID-19: Free Screening for All on Return from a Stay Abroad

For many people, the November half-term holidays (All Saints' Day), which have just begun, are synonymous with a stay outside the Principality.  The COVID-19 virus is still very active in many parts of Europe, particularly in the North, and social interactions and travel greatly encourage its spread.

To avoid a possible upsurge in the epidemic, the Prince's Government is inviting everyone who has travelled outside the Principality to be tested on their return from holiday.

To this end, from Tuesday 2 November until 14 November, Monegasques, residents, schoolchildren and anyone studying or working in the Principality will be able to benefit from a free COVID-19 screening test, without a medical prescription, at the National Screening Centre, located at the Rainier III Auditorium.

For adults, this screening is carried out by means a nasopharyngeal swab, whereas for children, a saliva swab is taken.

As a reminder, the Centre does not receive anyone without an appointment - you must contact the COVID -19 Call Centre on 92 05 55 00 to express your wish to have a test. You will then be called back by the secretariat of the National Screening Centre, who will make an appointment for you.

This preventive screening will make it possible, on the one hand, to reassure those who will benefit from it and, on the other hand, to ensure that the start of the school and professional year takes place in the best possible health conditions, at a time when many indicators point to an upsurge in the epidemic in neighbouring regions.
