The Government takes note of Mr Philippe METTOUX’s decision to withdraw his candidacy for the position of Minister of State, which he was due to assume on 4 July 2025.

It is keen to assure H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince of its utmost determination and dedication to serving the Principality under His Supreme Authority, and deplores the malicious remarks made in the press and on social media, which are intended solely to harm Monaco’s image and reputation.

The Government remains fully committed to carrying out its functions with due respect for the Principality and its institutions.
