COVID-19: Eight New Positive Cases and Nine Recoveries on Saturday 26 December

Eight new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Saturday 26 December.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 797 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

On Saturday, seven people were being treated at the CHPG:  six patients, four of whom are residents, were hospitalised.  In addition, one patient, who is a resident, was in intensive care.

Yesterday, there were nine further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered thus amounts to 673.

On Saturday evening, 70 people were being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.
