COVID-19: 12 new positive cases and 16 recoveries on Saturday 9 January

Twelve new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Saturday 9 January.

This brings the Principality’s total coronavirus cases since the beginning of the health crisis to 1,053.

This evening, 26 patients are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital, seven of whom, including five residents, are in intensive care. Ten of the other 19 patients in hospital are also residents.

Sixteen further recoveries have been reported today, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 830.

This Saturday evening, 146 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which offers medical support to those with minor symptoms who are asked to self-isolate at home.
