Visitors can now enjoy visa-free travel to Hainan, China
The State Council of the People’s Republic of China has given permission for the island of Hainan to introduce visa waivers for visitors from 59 countries. This new programme, which since 1 May 2018 has allowed nationals of the 59 countries concerned to enter Hainan Province without a visa for a maximum stay of 30 days, included the Principality of Monaco from the outset. To be eligible for the visa waiver, visitors must present a valid passport and book their stay through a travel agency.
The following countries are included:
Russia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway, Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Monaco and Belarus.
