Inauguration of the Monaco section at the Miniatur Wunderland Museum in Hamburg
On 25 April 2024, T.S.H. Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene and the royal children travelled to Hamburg’s famous Miniatur Wunderland Museum to inaugurate the section dedicated to Monaco, in the presence of Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and H.E. Mr Lorenzo Ravano, Monaco’s Ambassador to Germany.
This inauguration is the culmination of a project launched six years ago at a cost of nearly €5 million, financed entirely by the Museum. The Museum is Germany’s most popular attraction, with 1.4 million visitors every year.
The meticulously crafted reconstitution is also a remarkable example of innovation: the “mini-Principality” is home to the world’s first miniature Formula 1 Grand Prix, which is fully automated and managed using artificial intelligence.
The visit was followed by a cocktail party in the presence of the Royal Family and attended by a hundred-odd prominent figures and friends of the Principality.
