The Embassy of Monaco in the United States and Canada's consular network convened in Washington

In conjunction with the EARTH to SPACE: Arts Breaking the Sky festival organised by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, in association with the Embassy of Monaco in the United States of America, the consuls of Monaco in the United States and Canada gathered from 28 to 30 March for the annual consular meeting, led by Ambassador H.E. Ms Maguy Maccario Doyle and the Embassy team.

The consuls took part in the festival events and also attended a meeting held at the Salamander Hotel, where they were brought up to speed with the latest news from the Prince's Government and the Principality. They also attended presentations given by several guest speakers: John B. Kelly, President of the US branch of the Prince Albert II Foundation; Patricia Leonard, Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Princess Grace Foundation-USA; Jaret Matthews, CEO and founder of Astrolab; Alison H. Leithner, Executive Director of Smithsonian Enterprises, and Patrice Courtaban, CEO of TV5Monde USA.

Thanks to former Texas congressman Jack Fields, the consuls were also treated to private tours of the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum and the United States Capitol, giving them a privileged insight into these iconic landmarks.
