SICCFIN attends 30th anniversary celebrations for TRACFIN

The ceremony to mark the thirtieth anniversary of TRACFIN in Paris provided an opportunity to bring together a large number of financial intelligence units (FIUs), primarily from Europe.

SICCFIN was represented by its Director, Michel Hunault, who was able to strengthen contacts with his counterparts and begin developing the major themes for discussion at the forthcoming meetings of FIUs from French-speaking countries, scheduled to be held in Monaco on 28 and 29 May 2020.

The ceremony was also a chance for the Director of TRACFIN, addressing her counterparts, to reiterate the importance of collaboration between all intelligence services and the legal system in light of the new typologies of laundering the proceeds of financial crime and terrorist financing.
