Monaco Statistics (IMSEE) publishes its 2023 Census report
According to IMSEE, 38,367 people resided in the Principality in 2023.
What are the five most common nationalities in this population? Are there more men than women? What is the average age? What are the countries of origin of those who became residents in recent years? What percentage of homes are located in Monte Carlo?
Answers to these questions and many more can be found in the 2023 Census report, published today by IMSEE.
Co-produced by Monaco City Hall, the Police Department, the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, the State Property Authority and the Department of Forward Studies, Urban Planning and Mobility, the census of the population and homes can now be carried out without an exhaustive on-the-ground survey process, thanks to updated information systems.
This new approach, based on registers at Monaco City Hall and the various government departments, will provide the major characteristics of the resident population and homes in the Principality every year.
