Five new startups join MonacoTech

In search of bold projects with strong potential and social impact, MonacoTech organised a new call for applications, which ran from 2 March to 30 April 2020. Aiming to position Monaco as a major player in certain innovation sectors, MonacoTech selects projects that reflect the Principality’s values and economic strategies.

The pre-selection stages of this 5th call for applications drew to a close with presentations to a jury on Tuesday 30 June.

The jury comprised Mr Rachid Abarki (Chairman of 42 Nice), Mr Stanislas Boulet d’Auria (Executive Director of 3X Engineering), Mr François-Xavier Le Clerc (Head of Finance and Economic Development, member of the MonacoTech Board of Directors representing the State), Mr André Saint-Mleux (Chairman of Arthapol, business angel and member of the Monaco Telecom Board of Directors representing the State), Ms Nathalie Schlemmer-Maire (Founder of Dépil Tech), Mr Philippe Schriqui (entrepreneur) and Mr Pierre Van Klaveren (member of the National Council and co-founder of VK*P Business Advisors).

Of the 38 candidates from 13 nations invited to deliver their presentations, 5 startups were chosen to join the MonacoTech programme. They will offer a boost to the portfolio of startups currently working with the MonacoTech incubator, which now includes representation from the following sectors and vertical markets: AdTech, Applications, Augmented Reality, BioTech, GreenTech and Transport, FinTech, MedTech, RegTech and Yachting.
