Diplomacy: new Ambassadors accredited Bangladesh – Mongolia – Canada – Kazakhstan

On Tuesday 13 June, Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, hosted a lunch at the Hermitage Hotel to welcome the following Ambassadors: H.E. Mr Khondker M. TALHA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh, H.E. Ms Ulambayar NYAMKHUU Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia, H.E. Mr Stéphane DION Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada and H.E. Ms Gulsara ARYSTANKULOVA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador of Bangladesh in France and permanent delegate to UNESCO, H.E. Mr Khondker M. TALHA occupied the post of Director General of the East Asia and Pacific Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka. He was also Chief of Protocol (2012-2014) and Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in London (2014-2018).

H.E. Ms Ulambayar NYAMKHUU has a degree in Applied Foreign Languages and a Masters in International Trade from the University of Toulouse-II. She began her diplomatic career in 2010 at the Department of Europe at the Ministry of External Relations in Mongolia. She is currently the Ambassador of Mongolia in France, in the Principality of Andorra, in Spain and in Portugal and also the permanent delegate of Mongolia to UNESCO.

H.E. Mr Stéphane DION studied at Laval University before obtaining a doctorate in Sociology at the Paris Institute of Political Studies. He entered the world of politics in 1996, occupying several high positions in Canada: Minister responsible for Official Languages, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, and then Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022, he was the Canadian Ambassador to Germany. He is now the Canadian Ambassador to France and a special envoy of the Prime Minister to the European Union and to Europe.

H.E. Ms Gulsara ARYSTANKULOVA has a degree in French Language from the University of Almaty and a D.E.S.S. in International Relations from the University of Human Sciences in Strasbourg. She had many roles at the Embassies of Kazakhstan in Belgium and then France, before becoming Head of Sector at the External Policy Centre of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2008 to 2019. From 2020 to 2022, she was Deputy Director of the Department of External Policy and International Relations of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
