Monaco's Honorary Consul in Florence receives an award in Rome from the Gazzetta Diplomatica
On 6 November, during a ceremony held at the Circolo degli Affari Esteri in Rome in front of many journalists and figures from the Italian diplomatic world, Mr Alessandro Giusti, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Florence, was awarded the prize of ‘Best Honorary Consul, 2023’ as part of the very first edition of the ‘Gazzetta Diplomatica - Giovanni Jannuzzi Prize’.
The Prize is awarded by an international judging panel in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of international relations in Italy over the past year. It was created by journalist Marco Finelli, in memory of Ambassador Jannuzzi, an esteemed Italian diplomat who passed away last May.
In her speech, H.E. Mrs Anne Eastwood, Monaco's Ambassador to Italy, expressed the Principality's pride at having one of the most dynamic members of its consular network in Italy among the first recipients of this award in the category dedicated to Honorary Consuls.
She praised Alessandro Giusti's exceptional contribution over the past 20 years to combining the Principality's tremendous potential with the incredible wealth and diversity of the regions of Tuscany and Umbria, in order to create mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries through numerous projects and cooperative ventures in the cultural, scientific, economic and tourism sectors, and paid a special tribute to the humanitarian and philanthropic approach of the Monaco Consul in Florence, who is keen to ensure that the initiatives undertaken have a wider beneficial impact for everyone, in addition to the expected economic and promotional effects.
