Diplomacy: accreditation of new US Ambassador to Monaco
The Minister of State, Pierre Dartout, welcomed H.E. Ms Denise Campbell Bauer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Untied States, to his residence on Thursday 29 September, for a lunch hosted by H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
The Ambassador had presented her credentials to the Palace that morning, in the presence of
Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and Ms Kristen K. Grauer, Consul-General of the United States to Monaco, resident in Marseille.
H.E. Ms Denise Campbell Bauer, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences from Occidental College, began her career in journalism in Los Angeles, working for two international television networks. She subsequently held management posts within various non-profit organisations.
An experienced diplomat, H.E. Ms Denise Campbell Bauer was the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium from August 2013 to January 2017. During her time in Belgium, she focused on building strategic transatlantic partnerships and developing international trade.
In 2019, she became Executive Director of Women for Biden, a national network of women who campaigned for Joe Biden to be elected. She previously served in a similar role for Barack Obama’s campaign in 2012, while chairing the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum.
