Working meeting with Monaco Telecom and Huawei

A delegation from Monaco Telecom’s partner Huawei, led by CEO Europe Vincent Pang, is in the Principality to work on future collaboration, particularly in the context of Smart City development.

The Monegasque operator and the supplier of digital terminal, network and cloud solutions for operators, businesses and consumers have been working together since 2013. Thanks to this longstanding partnership, Monaco Telecom has been able to develop the 4G mobile network, leading to the launch in Monaco in April 2017 of the world’s first commercial mobile network offering speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second. Efforts to improve coverage in the Principality also allowed Monaco Telecom to rise to the top of a ranking of 290 global operators in January this year, according to 4GMARK (an extremely precise measurement tool which offers a comprehensive benchmark of connection quality for smartphones).
