The Board of Auditors submits the 2024 Annual Public Report to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince
On 13 March 2025, the Chairman of the Board of Auditors, Mr Christian Descheemaeker, submitted the 2024 Annual Public Report to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, which was approved by the Principality's Supreme Auditing Institution (I.S.C.) on 18 November 2024
In accordance with the Sovereign Ordinance of 2 July 2008, this report, which is available on the Government website, details the Board's activities during the past year.
In 2024, the Board of Auditors conducted its first audit of the State's accounts and financial management for the 2023 financial year. This report, which is mainly intended to enable H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince to settle the budget for the financial year, has been supplemented this year by a more in-depth audit of the Blue Fund, the Police Department, the Tobacco and Matches Board, and the Energy Transition.
The Board of Auditors also conducted audits of the following:
- the Cap Fleuri and A Qietüdine residential homes
- the Société anonyme monégasque (±joint-stock company) Monaco Explorations
- the Yacht Club de Monaco
- the ASM Football Club (training centre)
Other audits also carried out in 2024 of the management of the Principality's car parks and the Automobile Club de Monaco are almost complete. The adversarial procedure for the latter audit did not begin until 2025.
The commission was involved in two significant events in 2024: firstly, on the international stage, with its participation via videoconference in the 12th EUROSAI Congress; secondly, with the appointment of three new members, coinciding with the renewal of the mandate, although three outgoing members remained in office.
Finally, in regards to the Electoral Campaign Auditing Committee, which includes the President and two members of the Board of Auditors, despite no elections being held in 2024, the members of this commission were reappointed for the 2024-2029 term by Sovereign Ordinance No. 10.980 of 12 December 2024.
