Pierre Moscovici pays working visit to Monaco
The European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs, Mr Pierre Moscovici, accompanied by a delegation*, paid a working visit to the Principality on 22nd february.
He was welcomed by H.E. the Minister of State along with Mr Georges Lisimachio, Head of the H.S.H. the Prince’s Cabinet, Mr Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, H.E. Ms Sophie Thevenoux, Monaco’s Ambassador to the European Union, and Mr Robert Colle, Secretary-General of the Ministry of State.
A working meeting was held at the Ministry of State in the morning, followed by the signature of an agreement on fiscal transparency. Agreement on fiscal transparency.
In the afternoon, Mr Moscovici visited the laboratories of Granions and Asepta, two companies whose activities are focused particularly on the European Union.
H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince received the Commissioner for an audience at the Palace, during which the signature of the taxation agreement, Monaco’s economy and the areas for discussion between Monaco and the EU were covered.
