Government of the Principality of Monaco partners with new review Humanitarian Alternatives
Humanitarian Alternatives is a new bilingual (French/English) review with an international outlook, which seeks to encourage a broad reflection on humanitarian action, as well as practices and developments in the sector.
The review, which is supported by the Prince’s Government, was created at the initiative of major French humanitarian organisations, including Fondation Action Contre la Faim (Action against Hunger Foundation), the French Red Cross, Handicap International and the Fondation Mérieux. It provides a genuine source of ideas.
Numerous researchers in the social sciences (sociology, history, economics, anthropology, etc.) and practitioners in the humanitarian sector from countries in both the North and the South contribute to the review.
The latest issue of Humanitarian Alternatives, entitled ‘Africa between Shadow and Light’, is now available on the review’s website, http://alternatives-humanitaires.org/en .
