A New Monaco International Volunteer in Madagascar
Myriam Landau, a Monaco International Volunteer, began her voluntary work this summer at the Pasteur Institute in Madagascar. Her mission is to build the team of the BIRDY project , which is supported by Monaco's Official Development Assistance.
As an experienced nurse who has worked for 10 years in various Monegasque and French hospitals, Myriam will be able to make use of her experience to benefit this research programme on antibiotic resistance among children in low-income countries.
Myriam, who is 32 years old and a Monegasque national, is based in Antananarivo. Her main task will be to develop training and teaching materials to raise mothers' awareness of good practices to be implemented with a new-born baby (screening for early signs of infection, hygiene, prevention and transmission).
Currently, six Monaco International Volunteers are on a long-term mission in three of the priority countries targeted by Monaco’s Official Development Assistance (Morocco, Burkina Faso and Madagascar).
As a reminder, all the volunteer vacancies are advertised in the Journal de Monaco (www.gouv.mc ). The job descriptions vary according to the needs of the partners of Monaco's Official Development Assistance. The application form is available on the website www.cooperation-monaco.gouv.mc under the heading "International Volunteers of Monaco"
