The annual meeting of Monaco's consular corps on the North American continent
On 26 October in Philadelphia, the Embassy of Monaco in the United States of America and Canada organised its traditional annual meeting of the consular corps of Monaco on the North American continent. There was an overview of the latest news from the Embassy, the Principality, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation (USA).
During the event, Mr Patrice Courtaban, Chairman and CEO of TV5 USA, introduced the Consuls to the various platforms on which they can watch the selection of programmes on TV Monaco, broadcast on TV5 Monde USA and encouraged them to share their activities so that they could be featured in the monthly programme, 'Rendez-vous d'Amérique'.
The Consuls and members of the Embassy were able to share a special and friendly moment with H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during a drinks reception at which the Sovereign Prince presented Mr Warren Tolman, the new Consul of Monaco in Boston, with his Consular Commission.
In the evening, the Consuls of Monaco to the USA attended the reception organised by the Embassy, in collaboration with TV5 Monde USA and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. H.E. Mrs Maguy Maccario-Doyle, Ambassador of Monaco to the United States of America and Canada, welcomed H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the Mayor of the city, Mr James Francis Kenney, who took the opportunity to present the Sovereign with the official Proclamation establishing 26 October 2024 as the day of the Principality of Monaco and the Prince Albert II Foundation in Philadelphia.
This ‘Welcome Reception’ was attended by a large number of Ambassadors, as well as political, artistic, and environmental figures. This marked the official launch of two days of events organised by the Prince Albert II Foundation in Philadelphia, culminating on 27 October in the Foundation's 2023 Awards ceremony.
