The Principality of Monaco attends the 32nd Economic Forum in Karpacz, Poland

A Monegasque delegation made up of diplomats from the Embassy of Monaco in the Republic of Poland, the Monaco Economic Board and the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Warsaw were among 4,000 participants from the worlds of politics and business who participated in the 32nd Economic Forum held in Karpacz (Upper Silesia, south-west Poland) from 5 to 8 September 2023.

The Monaco Economic Board took part in two panel discussions on renewable energy and tourism and meetings were organised with Polish economic stakeholders and organisations (Digital Poland Foundation, French Chamber of Commerce in Poland). 

During the Forum, the Monaco Economic Board and the German BWA (Federal Association for Economic Development and International Trade) signed a memorandum of understanding in the presence of Mr Joerg Steinbach, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy of the Land of Brandenburg. This memorandum is designed to strengthen the partnership between the two entities while also developing business opportunities in the German and Monegasque markets.

Following this initiative by the Monegasque Embassy in Berlin, this first visit to the Economic Forum in Karpacz, considered to be the "Davos of the East", has paved the way for a future Monegasque economic mission in Poland, planned for 2024.
