The Minister of State will participate in the 2nd European Political Community Summit in Chișinău (Moldova) on 1 June 2023

H.E. Pierre Dartout will represent the Principality of Monaco at the 2nd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Political Community (EPC) to be held in Chișinău, Moldova, on 1 June 2023.

The Minister of State will be accompanied by H.E. Mr. Frédéric Labarrere, Ambassador, Head of Monaco's Mission to the European Union, and Ms. Isabelle Costa, High Commissioner for European Affairs.

Proposed on 9 May 2022 at the closing ceremony of the Conference on the Future of Europe by the President of the French Republic, the EPC aims to strengthen cohesion, cooperation, and dialogue between the countries of the European continent. This new community met for the first time on 6 October 2022 in Prague, under the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The inaugural meeting was attended by 44 European Heads of State and Government.

The community aims to establish an alliance and to develop strong cooperation projects, covering various shared interests such as critical infrastructure protection, the fight against cyber threats and disinformation, energy resilience, bringing young people together across the continent, migration cooperation, coordination on major regional issues and support for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
