Monaco and Russia celebrate 15 years of diplomatic relations

To mark the fifteenth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Principality of Monaco, Laurent Anselmi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, sent a message to Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, hailing the relationship based on trust and friendship that unites the two countries.

Since 11 July 2006, there has been intensive and constructive cooperation as well as numerous exchanges on economic, scientific and environmental issues, thanks to constant efforts on the part of the heads of state of the two countries.

A determination to continue to bolster this cooperation has been expressed, notably through cultural diplomacy, a vector for peace and improved understanding between peoples.

Despite the challenges posed by the international health situation, this celebration is an opportunity for Monaco to reaffirm its intent to work to further develop the links forged over the last 15 years.
