Funding agreement between the Prince’s Government and the Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable (Francophone Institute for Sustainable Development - IFDD)
On the fringes of COP28, the Prince’s Government, represented by Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and the Francophone Institute for Sustainable Development, represented by Caroline ST-HILAIRE, Director of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, signed a funding agreement aimed at supporting capacity-building to mobilise international funding for Francophone actors. The Agreement will come into force from 1 January 2024 and expire on 1 February 2028.
The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), through the intermediary of its subsidiary body, the Francophone Institute for Sustainable Development (IFDD), would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the Prince’s Government for its contribution which will help develop and promote a unique key instrument to facilitate access to sustainable funding.
Aware that this issue constitutes a major issue for the full implementation of the Paris Agreement, the Principality of Monaco is delighted to extend its partnership with the Francophone Institute for Sustainable Development, with a view to supporting Francophone stakeholders to gain access to climate funding.
