UNODC - Prince’s Government renews financing agreement with UN Office on Drugs and Crime
Monaco’s financing agreement with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), aimed at helping countries in the Sahel region (Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Chad) to strengthen their criminal justice systems in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, was renewed on 25 April 2018 in Vienna. The renewal was signed by H.E. Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, the Principality of Monaco’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UNODC, and Jean-Luc Lemahieu, UNODC Director of Policy Analysis and Public Affairs.
The agreement was renewed for three years (2018–2020) and is consistent with the Principality’s work within the UNODC and, more broadly, the Prince’s Government’s continuous efforts in the fight against terrorism.
Monaco’s new contribution over the three years will amount to EUR 120,000.
