The President of Cabo Verde Visits Monaco

At the invitation of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, the President of Cabo Verde, Jorge Carlos De Almeida Fonseca, accompanied by a delegation,* made a working visit to Monaco from 10 to 12 April 2018.  This visit followed on from the Sovereign's visit to Cabo Verde in connection with Monaco Explorations.

The President was received at an audience with H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, and was then invited to a dinner at the Prince's Palace.  The Minister of State also gave a dinner in his honour, in the presence of Monegasque dignitaries and business leaders.

On the occasion of Monaco Ocean Week, a Framework Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Cabo Verde.  The aim of this agreement is to deepen and strengthen bilateral relations, friendship and close cooperation between the two States.
