The Attractiveness Department and its partners on an official visit to London
On 21 and 22 September, the Government of Monaco's Attractiveness Department was welcomed to London by H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta, Monaco's Ambassador to the United Kingdom. The Attractiveness Department, accompanied by Monaco Private Label, the Monaco Economic Board, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, and the Monaco Association for Financial Activities, visited the Embassy of Monaco in London on a joint international development mission.
Led by Frédéric Genta, Interministerial Delegate for Attractiveness and Digital Transition, this trip is part of the strategic plan for Attractiveness, one of whose priorities are to coordinate, in partnership with public and private bodies, all actions designed to represent the Principality's interests internationally. It was also an opportunity for the delegation and the other participants to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III.
Following an initial mission to Brussels last June, this trip was an opportunity to strengthen links with the British diplomatic network and to promote the Principality's assets to influential local figures. During these two days, the Interministerial Delegate, the team, and other partners met with around thirty entrepreneurs, investors and legal and tax experts from London who were keen to develop a relationship with the Principality.
Accounting for almost 7% of the Principality's total resident population (IMSEE 2023 report), anglophones are among the top 3 demographics most represented in Monaco. As a leading economic force on a European scale, the British capital is a priority destination for the coordinated actions of the attractiveness policy.
"London remains one of the top cities for new residents relocating to the Principality, but it's much more than that. The British capital is an international platform through which we can reach a wider market. From India to South America and the Middle East, every nationality passes through London, and every day we strive to cultivate the network that this global centre of finance and commerce offers us," stated H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta.
"The Principality has many assets to attract investors and entrepreneurs. We have close links with the London financial centre, and a shared expertise. We look forward to these meetings, which offer real potential for the Monegasque economy," added Frédéric Genta.
