The 29th Charity Show
On 20 January 2017, the "Charity Show" took place at the Rainier III Auditorium. This 29th traditional Christmas Show was entirely created by the pupils and teachers of the International Option of the Collège Charles III.
Again this year, this high quality show, which told the story of the "Lion King," was an opportunity for the schoolchildren and teaching staff of this establishment to show their great talent in staging and performance. Everyone also demonstrated the importance they place on the humanitarian values of solidarity and generosity.
This year, the sum of almost 13,000 euros was collected, thanks to the involvement of the pupils and teachers of the Collège Charles III. This money will be entirely donated to a good cause, the "Preventorium" at the Foyer Rainier III in Madagascar. As a reminder, almost 70 children suffering from rickets and malformations have received treatment at this establishment. Following their operation, the children are offered healthcare and rehabilitation before returning to their families.
It should be noted that the Principality makes a financial contribution to the running of the Foyer and the money raised at the Charity Show by the pupils of the Collège Charles III makes up two-thirds of the total funds allocated.
