First meeting of the Steering Committee for the global strategy to fight corruption as part of the fifth evaluation round of GRECO

Chaired by Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and acting Minister of State, the first meeting of the Steering Committee for the global strategy to fight corruption was held on Friday 28 March as part of the fifth evaluation round of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).

Established by Sovereign Ordinance No. 11.092 of 18 February 2025, this Steering Committee is tasked with developing a global strategy and identifying necessary measures to enforce the recommendations made by GRECO during an assessment of the Principality, with the aim of preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments and law enforcement agencies.

Ms Berro-Amadeï opened the meeting by welcoming the creation of the Committee and underlining that in line with its mandate, the Committee will play a central role in achieving concrete outcomes prior to the first progress report scheduled for the end of December 2025. This report will review the progress made on this key issue for Monaco.

By establishing this committee, the Principality has demonstrated the determination and commitment of the authorities to make further progress in the fight against corruption.

*This Committee is composed of the Secretary of Justice, Government ministers, the Chief of Staff of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, the Chief of Staff of the Minister of State, the Chief Cabinet Secretary, the Controller General of the Police Department, the Director of Legal Affairs, the Director of the Civil Service Human Resources and Training Department, as well as the Inspector General of the Civil Service.
