Department of Cultural Affairs: launch of a photography competition for young people aged 11 to 25 years. The theme is “Monaco’s architectural heritage”.
The Department of Cultural Affairs is launching a photography competition for young people aged 11 to 25 years. The theme is “Monaco’s architectural heritage”.
The initiative, which aims to get young people involved in protecting Monaco’s heritage and showcase the creativity of the Principality’s young people, is part of the European Heritage Days 2025 programme, running under the same theme.
The photographs submitted by competition entrants will need to feature Monaco’s architectural heritage, through broad or detailed views of architectural features such as iconic landmarks, buildings, road and rail networks and esplanades, as well as panoramic views.
An expert panel of judges will select 15 photographs from the entries received, and will pay particular attention to the artistic aspect of the young artists’ work, as well as to their unique perspective on the architectural heritage of their city.
The selected photographs will then be exhibited on the railings in the Saint-Martin Gardens from Tuesday 3 June to Sunday 5 October 2025, the date on which European Heritage Days will be celebrated in Monaco.
A committee comprising members aged 11 to 25 years old will award a prize to four photographs from this selection.
The competition is open only to young people aged 11 to 25 years old who are Monegasque nationals or residents, attend school in the Principality or work in Monaco.
- Rules and details of how to register by no later than 25 April 2025 are available:
