New COVID-19 vaccine available in Principality

Vaccination with the Nuvaxovid vaccine from the Novavax laboratory began at the National Vaccination Centre in the Principality’s Rainier III Auditorium on Tuesday 22 March.

The Prince’s Government invites those who wish to take advantage of this vaccine to signal their wishes by contacting the COVID-19 Call Centre on 92.05.55.00 (open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week), or online via the website https://vaccination-covid19.gouv.mc .

Nuvaxovid is a subunit vaccine, based on proteins which induce an immune response. Please note that the initial vaccination course for this vaccine requires the administration of two doses, spaced three weeks apart.

It should also be noted that the vaccine is currently only authorised for people aged 18 years and over, who have not been vaccinated before or have only received one dose of any vaccine, with the exception of the Janssen vaccine. It cannot therefore be given as a booster or third dose.
