Monegasque Bus Company (CAM) users targeted by online fraud

© Direction de la Communication

The Prince’s Government wishes to alert Monaco Bus Company (CAM) users and all residents of an ongoing online scam: a fake Facebook page, purporting to be an official service page of the CAM, invites internet users to click on a link to obtain a free six-month bus pass. This is a scam aimed at collecting personal and banking information.

The Monaco Bus Company (CAM) wishes to remind users that its only official channels are its website (www.cam.mc ) and the Monapass application (monapass.mc ). Any other source proposing offers or services relating to public transport in Monaco should be considered with the utmost caution.

People who have provided their bank details via this false link should immediately contact their bank to contest the transaction and prevent any fraudulent withdrawals from their account.

The Prince’s Government calls for the utmost vigilance and encourages everyone to verify the authenticity of online information and websites before providing personal data.
