Monaco’s Embassy in France celebrates the 19th anniversary of the accession to the throne of H.S.H. Prince Albert II
On Wednesday 26 June 2024 the Embassy of the Principality of Monaco in France celebrated the 19th anniversary of the arrival to the throne of H.S.H. Prince Albert II at a reception held in Paris.
H.E. Ms Valérie Bruell-Melchior welcomed many guests including ministers, senior officials and representatives of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Apostolic Nuncio, a large number of Ambassadors from the international community, representatives from international organisations and other dignitaries.
The Ambassador recalled the excellent relations between Monaco and France. She also highlighted the unwavering commitment of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco to include Monaco among the States guided by the principles of the United Nations Charter. Just prior to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, she mentioned the hosting of the Olympic Torch in Monaco on 18 June, a reflection of the importance of sport in Monaco’s identity and the attachment to the values it conveys. In conclusion, she addressed environmental issues and noted the upcoming Third United Nations Ocean Conference 2025 in Nice.
