Monaco’s Ambassador to Spain visits Asturias

On 7–8 May, Monaco’s Ambassador to Spain, H.E. Ms Catherine Fautrier, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Principality of Andorra, H.E. Ms Eva Descarrega, travelled to the Principality of Asturias, an autonomous province of the Kingdom of Spain, the capital of which is Oviedo.

The Ambassadors were welcomed by the President of the Government of Asturias, Sr. Don Adrián Barbon. The meeting was an opportunity for them to present how the institutions of their respective countries operate and to recall the historical ties linking Monaco, Andorra and Asturias. They later met with the Mayor of Oviedo, Sr. Don Alfredo Canteli to discuss opportunities to work together in the fields of tourism and culture. The visit ended with a meeting with the President of the Junta Directiva (Parliament), Sr. Don Juan Cofiño.

The day before, the Ambassadors presented their countries at the Nueva España Press Club.
