Monaco joins UNESCO and Council of Europe Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications Concerning Higher Education
On 6 March 2023, Gabriel Revel, Chargé d’Affaires at Monaco’s Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe, presented Monaco’s instrument of accession to the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region (ETS No. 165) to Bjørn Berge, the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
The Convention, drafted jointly by the Council of Europe and UNESCO, facilitates the recognition of qualifications issued in the Principality. Two bodies monitor its implementation: the Committee of the Convention and the European Network of National Information Centres on academic mobility and recognition (ENIC Network).
Monaco becomes the 55th State Party to the Convention, which will enter into force for the Principality on 1 May 2023.
